Although it was the bane of my existence while I was taking a Neuroanatomy
course, I'd have to highly recommend "The Human Nervous System: Basic Principles
of Neurobiology" by Charles R. Noback and Robert J. Demarest. The one I used
was the 3rd Edition, published by McGraw Hill.
