Official Satellite meeting to the International
Society of Autonomic Neurosciences 1997.
Researchers interested in the enigmatic imidazoline
receptor family are invited to participate in a workshop
on this rapidly developing field. The workshop will
consist of invited talks and free communications followed
by intensive discussion sessions.
The workshop will be organized around a number of specific questions
that will probe the frontiers of imidazoline receptor research.
Themes will include:
* The future impact of molecular biology
Prospects for cloning
Lessons from the I2-receptor
* Novel structures
Screening proceedures
Functional assays, beyond blood pressure
* New Clinical Directions
Heart failure
Sudden death
Stroke
Discussion leaders will include Pascal Bousquest, Don Reis,
Paul Ernsberger and John Piletz.
Registration.
The closing date for registration is 30 May, 1997.
Registration is free for ISAN registrants and students, and $30 for
people who have not registered for ISAN. There is a catering fee of
$30 (normal registrants) or $15 (Students with certification of student
status). This includes morning and afternoon tea and buffet lunch. The
conference dinner is
an extra $60.
