Just a little addition to the "life after death study" that wasn't mentioned in
the study:
One of the tricks the researchers did was to identify which beds on certain
wards had the highest 'cardiac arrest/resuscitation' occurances. Most nurses
can identify these beds - they are the `high observation` beds, usually nearest
the nurses station etc where the most ill patients are positioned.
Above these beds, hanging a few inches from the ceiling and well above
head-height are discretely positioned tiles with something (no one else knows
exactly what). The plan is that when the semi-dead patient flys around the
room, they will see whatever it is and if succesfully rescusitated, will reveal
what it was.
As yet, i have not heard any positive result from this part of the study.
Personally, i have no doubt as to the experiences people report after successful
rescusitation. Having been involved in a great many resuscitations myself
(approx 100), i have come accross only two first hand reports where people
suggested a "NDE" - both reports were astonishing.
Not really much use to a scientific discussion, but i had a spare five mins,
