In his 1969 paper on cerebellar theory, David Marr (p. 456) refers to Hebb's
1949 speculations that some synapses may respond not to a change in
neurotransmitter levels, but to pre- and post-synaptic depolarization.
Would anyone be kind providing a recent review ID on this topic to someone
who is on a very steep learning curve?
