The only way to reproduce the corkscrew hazel -corylus avellana "Contorta"
is by grafting, wont come true from seed and I have yet to get cuttings to
grow, though I have managed to get them to callus using indolotributic acid
at about 25000 parts per million with borax as rooting hormone. I have tried
now for 6 years at different strengths and to date no luck. grafting is the
commercial way.
