Tough plant needed

Hi

I need a lant (preferably with color) that will grow in just about anything,
needs little water, and acan be in full sun. We have a hill behind our house
that is dry and hard. Lots of rocks in it. I have tried seeding wild flowers
up there, and actually water it every other day. Nothing seems to happen.
Would just like to get a little color on this hill.


Any Thoughts??
