Non-flowering plants

Next January I will be teaching a non-flowering plants course complete 
with lab.  I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to a possible 
text for this class.  I have lots of reference books on mosses and 
liverworts and some books on algae.  I would hope that there is a good, 
all purpose text for a class like this.  Is this just wishful thinking??
