Looking for a model protein

Hi All
I need a protein, that is commercially available, that crystallises
with some variation in quality or whose quality can be varied with heavy
atom soaks or cryoprotectants, and that at least to some extend can be
thought of as a model protein crystal. (hence lysozym isnt really ideal).
We are working on a microscope technique (know as metripol) that is
capable of quantifying birefringence, and it is our hope that we can
relate quantitative microscope data to diffraction power, or at least
mosaicity.
Thanks in advance
Morten
