Postdoctoral position-Protozoologist
The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Produce Safety and
Microbiology Research Unit, Albany, California, is seeking a
POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, (Research
Microbiologist/Protozoologist). Ph.D. is required. Salary is
commensurate with experience ($49,621- $77,309 per annum), plus
benefits. There are some citizenship restrictions. The incumbent
will study the interaction between protozoa and human enteric
pathogens at the molecular level using bacterial microarray
analysis.
The ecological role of internalization of enteric pathogens within
protozoa will be investigated with population studies in plant-soil
microcosms, as well as in the field. Experience with molecular biology
