I know the genome for Norwalk Virus has been identified. We have many
outbreaks in the winter due to this virus. EM, a labour intensive test,
is the only way to diagnose infections due to this agent. Is anyone
aware of any other direct test commercially available for identifying
this agent? EIA, PCR? A cost effective direct test for this agent is
much needed.
