 Influenza is mostly
>a respiratory virus, which means if you have diarrhea and vomitting,
you don't
>have the flu, you have food poisoning.

Wait a minute - in the late 1960s I was in 8th grade and came down with
the Asian Flu going around at that time. Sick enough to be losing 4
pounds in an evening from diarrhea and vomiting. The fever was killer,
also. I don't recall any respiratory symptoms (coughing, etc.). This
was food poisoning? I'm not trying to be smart ass here. I'm truly
curious.
