I am not sure that the "if we like it" is significant here. The group
was established to provide a forum for women professionals in biology
to exchange information on career issues.
I will point out to the readers, however, that lack of use will doom
any newsgroup to off-the-topic interuptions and other trivia. Any
newsgroup is only as good as the readers make it. If everyone sits
around and waits for others to contribute, the group will not succeed.
Reticence is definitely not a virtue in these forums.
