This is precisely right. Regardless of whether or not you read this
group via netnews (bionet.women-in-bio), or by sending a subscription
request to a listserver, this forum is unmoderated. There simply is no
mechanism for anyone to filter anything posted here, and if that is
something that people value, a wholly new newsgroup (and probably a
new listserver name) would need to be established.

My advice: grin and bear it, since already b.w.i.b has very much less
traffic and far less annoyance postings than comparable forums.
