Seems like a lot of questions about summer internships have accumulated here
since I last looked at this newgroup. I'd just like to make an additional
suggetion to all concerned. If you know of a professor at your school or at
a school near where you are planning to be for the summer whose research
interests you, go ask her/him about working in the lab directly. Many
professors (I do this) will help you connect with local internship programs
or can pay you a little or give you course credit for summer research. Of
course you will need to convice the professor that you are
intelligent/sincerely interested, ect. to expect a response. If you get
turned down, don't be discouraged, not everybody has room or money to take
on an undergrad. Try someone else. Good luck.
