Medical Specialist

The Medical Specialist, reporting to the Worldwide Medical Director, will 
participate in all clinical activities for the company.  The person will 
develop and manage external medical trial programs [protocols, external 
clinical location oversight, data analysis and preparation of reports), 
product circulars for performance claims and instructions for use, the 
Product Development Notification [PDN] system, clinical documentation for 
external regulatory review and all labeling reviews.

The successful candidate will  1) conduct worldwide clinical trials for 
diagnostic products and devices; this includes protocol composition, 
external site visits, study initiation, etc.  2)  assist the Marketing 
Department in formulation and documentation of user assessment trials;  
3) act as a resource for the Dept and Division in areas of medical 
product performance, field actions, recalls, etc.

Desired Profile:
· Prefer candidates with CLINICAL TECHNICAL STRENGTH [current or previous 
work conducting and evaluating laboratory tests in a clinical/hospital 
lab setting] not an administrative or supervisory role.
· Degree and Experience:  MD with 0-1 yr. experience;  PhD in 
biological/clinical science with 2 yr. experience in clinical lab or in a 
medical device setting;  MS in a biological science with 5 yr. experience 
in clinical lab or in a medical device setting; BS in a biological 
science with certification as a Med. Tech plus 10 yr. experience in 
clinical lab or in a medical device setting.
· Preferred experience in Clinical Chemistry or Haematology.
