Well, I haven't followed the link yet, but the title (*girl* crew?)
makes me think of a Japanimation slumber party in outer space....

Certainly an all-female shuttle mission could provide useful data
on the effects of space flight on females, with population n>2 
subjected to the same environmental conditions.  Other than that
(and the nifty NASA publicity!) I can't think of any reason that
an all-female crew would be inherently better or worse than any
otherwise-gendered crew....
