Who reads this ng and why?

Let me add my "me too" do the discussion.

I also started reading this group as a grad student. I laughed when Susan 
said she mentioned the younger woman who don't get the point of feminisim, 
and sooner or later see the light. I was one of those! Although, I'm still 
not a feminist I understand more about the movement and its necessity. I 
have enjoyed the lively debates that have followed any mention of the 
topic and it is great to hear the experiences of other women who might 
have not lead the same charmed life as myself.

On the other hand, when I was having a difficult time with my M.Sc. 
supervisor, this group was essential in my realization that I'm not stupid 
or different as this supervisor was in the habit of pointing out. It was 
him with the problem, not me. I'm sure that without the support of this 
group I would have called it quits long ago! Thanks to all!

I haven't posted much to this group because of the moderation. I have 
typed numberous long replies to have them lost in the process. I just 
don't have the time to waste typing, but I enjoy reading.
