Sue Katz (DKatz at Doane.edu) asked:
I am in search of ideas for my molecular genetics course this coming spring.
I want the students to use not just the bacterial strains, but also yeast
mutants. Is there a source for experiments, or does anyone have some ideas
for experiments and strains?
A good start for introducing students to yeast is:
Methods in Yeast Genetics: A Laboratory Course Manual By Mark D. Rose,
Princeton University; Fred Winston, Harvard Medical School; Philip Hieter,
Johns Hopkins Medical School, from Cold Spring Harbor Press (1990).
