Dear Mike,
You could try NIH Image with particle analysis macros. I have
given this some thought, but I decided that manual counting would be much
more accurate than scanning. A person can decide whether a group
of convergent colonies is 2,3 or more colonies while a computer would
probably score it as 1. But for rough determinations it would probably
do fine. Besides the price is right (free!).
Sincerely,
Mike Moser Tel: 206-543-5354
