The projected goal for 1995 was 12.5 Mbp and it is done. At the end of
November 69.8 % of genome were in the public databases and some more in
MIPS and St. Louis. It is safe to say that by mid 1996 the entire genome
will be contiged and by the end of the year should be available from
Genbank and EMBL. Some info is available from Stanford Yeast DB.
