Postdoctoral Position Available, IMA, Singapore. Starting date: early to
mid 1998.  To work on the molecular mechanisms involved in endocytic
membrane traffic and cortical cytoskeletal function in Saccharomyces
cerevisiae.
The IMA is a research institute affiliated with the National University
of Singapore and is funded by the National Science and Technology Board
of Singapore.  The facilities are world-class and we have an
international research staff investigating the molecular and
developmental biology of yeast, zebrafish, plants, and viruses. 
Contracts are for 3 years, renewable.  Salary depends on prior
postdoctoral experience, but starts at about $S 4,000 per month for
fresh
PhD recipients ($S is about $US 0.60 as of Dec. 1997).  IMA pays on a 13
months per year basis and bonus months of salary may be paid depending
on
performance.  Financial assistance for relocation to Singapore from
overseas will be provided.  Applicants should already have a PhD or be
near
to completion, have a publication record, and should have molecular
biology
experience working with yeast or higher eucaryotes.  Prior experience
working on membrane traffic is an advantage.  Applications should
