Developmental Molecular Biologist/Scientist. PhD in biology or
comparative biology. This key Scientist will assume responsibility
for assessing advantages and disadvantages of zebrafish for drug
screening and target identification and validation. Perform and
direct experimentation for proof of principle. Characterize drug
screening targets in zebrafish embryos. Assist in assessing
approaches for screening automation as well as precise screening
of lead compounds. Coordinate biology related aspects of
corporate sponsored research projects. Participate in evaluating
potential internal and external licensing opportunities. Must be a
hands on bench scientist who can establish and oversee a group of
scientists and research associates. Familiarity with bioinformatics
and emerging life science techniques and trends a plus. Some
travel required.
